Hello,
I think that Few client go offline immediately after downloading the sourcefiles and not completed handover. In this situation, we have to wait for the 14 day's to complete handover process. If the client has an option to extend the handover period, then it is not advisable to keep this period for 14-days. It should be for two or three days only. If the client needs then he can increase the handover time limit.
Anyway, most of the revision process has been done before the winner is declared. 14 days are not required for uploading files and downloading by client. If any revision is left and is going to be long, the customer can extend this period.

I can't believe it. This post is from july 2020 and it's still under review. Handover for logo is still 14days. We have to wait almost a month to receive our payments.Thank you Designhill!!

Unfortunately this hasn't been fixed. I had to wait the full 14 days, plus 7 days before I could withdraw and another 4 days for the payment to get processed.
This is unheard of...

Agree. 14 days is too much. As you mentioned, 2 or maximum 3 days is ok.

Hope you're doing well.
In order to answer your concern: Handover process is of 14 days and has automatic timer, so that if in case client does not respond the price money is released automatically.
There may be some exceptional case. So, we are working regularly to make it more friendly and enhanced. May be in future there will be core update.
Second aspect to this is there are different categories like logo, business card, menu, website, packaging, label etc. Each design has their complexity, Initial time consumption factor, more end to end communication and etc.
Logo may be considered simple design but website, label and packaging menu are complex designs for which both the parties i.e. designer and client need more time.
That is why the 14 days time period is a standard time and is automatic.
